Questions, answered
Is Private.Finance really free?
Yes. Every calculator and guide is free. The site is funded by advertising, sponsorships, reader support and referral fees from professional firms when readers ask to be introduced — never by charging you.
What does 'private by design' mean?
Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are never sent to our servers or anyone else's. The only data we receive is what you deliberately submit in a form, such as a request to be matched with an advisor.
How does the advisor matching work?
You answer a few questions about your goals and situation. We review your request and introduce you to independent, fee-only professionals who fit. There is no fee and no obligation to hire anyone.
Which countries do you cover?
Our guides explain concepts that apply everywhere and note where rules differ in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, India and Australia. Calculators support multiple currencies.
Is this financial advice?
No. Everything here is general education. For advice about your specific situation, speak with a licensed professional.
